Personal message:

Donor conception is such an ethical minefield. I have half siblings I will probably never know, and I didn’t find out I was DC until I was 33, which changed a lot for me and how I saw myself. When I was conceived there was a lot society didn’t know, but now we’re adults speaking about our experiences and we all have more information. I’m lucky to live in a state and country with very progressive laws around DC, but many children today are still conceived from anonymous donors and never told. Parents need to think through all the consequences of DC – your child’s rights are more important than your desire to have a baby.
